Uncle Heath's Deployment

Please keep my older sister's husband Heath in your prayers as he is preparing to be deployed in the next few weeks.

He is such a great guy and the boys love him so much!

S is heavy!

Uncle Heath likes to rough house.
We must have been boring at Christmas!  :)

"Uncle Hease and Aunt Nee"

Christmas Pictures

We had a great Christmas this year!  We are truly blessed!

C loved watching the tree

This has nothing to do with Christmas.  I just thought it was cute.

Opening his new train set.

He loved it!

I think daddy liked it just as much as S did.

Playing "toos" with daddy and pa.

C and Bruce having a staring contest.

So determined!

I love those boys!

Playing the horn on a flash card.  This boy has music in his blood!

C pulled his blanket over his head and went to sleep in the middle of all of the festivities.

S with his new drum set.

Rocking out!

C was not rocking out.

Telling pa to "do this."

No one wanted to do this.

Pa was really studying this one!

Kicking the bucket

Oh S, you never leave a dull moment in my life.  A few weeks ago, hubby had his band concert at school.  Two years ago, S went with daddy and directed the band.  Exactly two years later, C helped direct the exact same song.  This went well.  C was happy.  Then came S.  He was going to play the drums (an ice cream bucket) with the high school band.  He walked right up there in front of a packed gym to play his bucket.  Instead, he walked up the bucket and kicked it.  Then he stood behind daddy through the whole song and giggled at the crowd.  That boy gives me gray hair.

The terror of the ring bearer

My hubby's wonderful sister got married this past weekend.  My precious little S was the ring bearer.  He had an adorable little suit on and smiled nice for all the pictures, shook hands and hugged all the relatives on cue, walked down the aisle in perfect step to the song, stood perfectly still at the front of the church through the entire wedding, sat nicely at the reception and didn't spill anything on his suit or the clothe linens on the table.

Yea right, in my dreams, right?  Well, my precious little two year old was anything but precious about this whole ordeal.  He was kind of naughty.  I know every mother thinks their child is perfectly well behaved, but he usually really is.  People have commented to me about how good he is.  Not this weekend, however!  He screamed every time anyone came anywhere near him with a camera and screamed all the way down the aisle (even being carried by daddy).  We even bribed him with candy.  Once that didn't work, I knew nothing would.  At one point, he chucked his sippy cup at the best man.  While getting dressed, he told me that his shoes were too tight, his socks were too big, his pants itched and he didn't like his tie.  Awesome.  Once we got to the reception, he was great, for the most part, except for the family picture.

And then there was the incident of the choking broccoli that sent my husband and I sprinting with him out into the hallway to keep him from chucking on the beautiful table!  Fun stuff.

S really enjoyed the dance.  Imagine that!  :)

Grand finale from one of the songs?
 He's got the moves!
Not sure on this one!  :)
He informed me he didn't like his suit anymore, so he finished out the dance in his jammies.

I heart Nate Berkus

Yes, I realize he is gay, but I still love him.  First off, he is gorgeous.  I mean, look at him!

Other than being gorgeous, he is just awesome.  He can take an ugly $10.00 lamp and make it beautiful.  Also, on today's show, he was wearing brown shoes and black clothes.  I did not know that was even possible.  Last week I nearly cried when President Obama broke into his show with a press conference.  I do care that what he was talking about involved America going another 2 billion dollars in the whole, but why do we have to talk about this when I am watching my TV boyfriend?  Really?  Since we moved into our current home, I had been thinking about putting the couch in the bay window in the family room, last week, Nate said it was OK to do this, so I did it and it made me love him even more.  Don't get me wrong, I love my husband more than anything in the world, but can't I love Nate too?  Just saying.

Goober pumping his muscles up!

S loves to Wii fit with my husband.  I cropped Hubby out so he doesn't get mad at me for posting pics of him.  Even though he is super handsome, he gets crabby at me when I post pictures of him.

C is quite entertained by the Wii also!

If only everyone looked so cute with a lion on their butt.  I don't know too many people that can pull that look off.
Sorry honey, I lied.  This one was just too cute to crop.  Look at S's arms.  Such a cutey!
